Stuart Krelle is one of the principals/creative directors of Luchetti Krelle, an award-winning firm specialising in hospitality design. His eclectic design idiom — rigorous conceptual focus, and meticulous eye for detail — enables him to splice a fusion of influences, in turn creating boldly iconographic settings underpinned by resourceful practicality.
His charismatic bespoke design solutions, from intricately crafted joinery to lighting and furniture pieces, have made him one of Australia’s most sought-after designers. Krelle’s uniquely filtered vision has taken him offshore in recent years designing restaurants through to extensive hotel fit-outs, receiving awards along the way. Notable recent projects include Tokyo’s eagerly awaited The Upper, which combines luxe dining with breezy sociable spaces, plus the radical rejuvenation of the Art Deco Tattersall’s Hotel in NSW.
