A member of the Vectorworks team since 2004, Ian Lane serves as director of entertainment products, overseeing solutions for lighting and live event designers, including Vectorworks Spotlight, ConnectCAD, and Braceworks. Over the years, Lane has contributed his experience and expertise to both the Core and Platform teams, developing Vectorworks’ file format and refining other essential tools in addition to supporting the implementation of the software on both Mac and Windows. He’s been involved in several critical projects, including the 64-bit conversion, Unicode Support, Universal Binary, Vectorworks’ UI modernization, and more. Before Vectorworks, Lane worked at the Howard County Board of Education. He received his degree in Computer Science from The University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
