SESSION DESCRIPTION

The Realities of Integrating BIM into an Architect’s Practice

Integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) into an architect's practice brings numerous benefits to the design and construction process. Architects can better communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders, leading to more informed decision-making and fewer change orders during construction. Adopting a BIM process allowed us GKV Architects to create detailed digital 3D models of buildings to facilitate better visualization, streamlined our coordination process, and enabled us to deliver high- quality designs and innovative solutions in a more efficient manner. Over time, all these benefits greatly outweigh the challenges faced during the implementation process.
