Integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) into an architect's practice brings numerous benefits to the design and construction process. Architects can better communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders, leading to more informed decision-making and fewer change orders during construction. Adopting a BIM process allowed us GKV Architects to create detailed digital 3D models of buildings to facilitate better visualization, streamlined our coordination process, and enabled us to deliver high- quality designs and innovative solutions in a more efficient manner. Susan Cohan has had three major careers. First as a nationally known jewelry designer, next as a design educator and last as a landscape designer. From as early as high school, she knew she wanted to be a designer. First, it was fashion, then jewelry, then back to fashion, then to education, then finally landing on landscape design. How did this happen? The one constant Cohan has had throughout her life is a love of the land. Her practice includes all her previous design experience as well as twenty-plus years of making landscapes.
