A surprising number of his shows are presented in non-traditional performance spaces that don’t provide the typical infrastructure for the installation and setup of a lighting system. 4:50 PM - 5:35 PM | It’s Just Lines and Boxes!
STEVE LEMON, EVENT PRODUCTION CONSULTANT, STEVE LEMON ASSOCIATES
Lines and boxes…that’s all some people see. However, to us, illustrating those lines and boxes is a craft; a put-on-the-headphones, tie-a-necktie-on-the-doorknob, “leave me alone and don’t let the doorknob hit you on the back of the head as you leave” piece of art! Of course, some parts of our jobs aren’t all rainbows and unicorns, are they? We’ll work on those today.
-
5:35 PM - 6:05 PM | Vectorworks and Staging: Methods, Tools, and Examples for Consistent Staging and Automation Layouts
JOEY BRENNAN, TECHNICAL DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, ALL ACCESS STAGING
Joey Brennan will present on the company’s long-running use of Vectorworks in producing both client and production-facing documentation and layouts in the world of large-scale live event staging and automation. Along with the on-field staging elements for 13 Super Bowl Halftime shows, All Access has provided staging and automation equipment for thousands of concert tours, Las Vegas residencies, major awards shows, and television productions for over 30 years. Brennan will discuss how those projects are managed in Vectorworks, review how both products and information are organized, and describe the tools and features used to streamline the often fast-tracked process of live event staging and production. He will also walk through the company’s process of moving from concept design to a final production package.
